We are here and the trip is going great! - Tuesday, July 22, 2008
We arrived in Rockford on Sunday, July 20th and we have been having a great time!  Our workcrews put in a great day yesterday, despite the morning starting with some rain.  We have one crew who is working on putting siding on a house, another crew who yesterday put in insulation and today is laying some cinderblock, two crews that are roofing on a challenging house, and one crew that is working with the Rainforest Adventure VBS in downtown Rockford.  We were very impressed with all of the work that was done on Monday.

We have been blessed by many people in the community who are supportive of our efforts here - including the band who is leading us in praise and worship each evening - Epiphany.

More than the work - we are drawing closer to God this week.  We spend time each morning in personal devotion time and at lunch in workcrew devotion time.  Each evening we have a worship service that rocks the house of God and we are challenged with the message that is shared with us by Pastor Phil.  During our worship our students are sharing prayers and sharing how they saw God on their worksite.
